Mrs. Linda Perry Forbes is a native of Montgomery, Alabama. She is married to Antonio Forbes Sr. and they are the parents of four sons and the grandparents of three grandsons.
After receiving a high school diploma from Jefferson Davis High School she further her educational opportunities at Alabama State University (ASU) where she obtained the Bachelor of Biology degree with a minor in Chemistry , Master of Biology and Master of Biology in Education. The fall of 1982, she started her teaching career as a science teacher with Luverne School . While at Luverne School, she has received the Golden Apple Award, was instrumental in advancing her students to the highest percentile on the Standardized Achievement Test in the county, sponsor for the Junior High Brothers and Sisters In Christ Club (B.A.S.I.C) , the nominating educator for The United States Achievement Academy (National Science Merit Award), Youth Leadership Conference and American Scholars, and nominated as Who’s Who Among Teachers,etc.
She believes each and every student can soar beyond any imagined limits and she makes classroom experiences exciting and memorable for the students by seeking ways to give students a real world application for knowledge. Mrs. Forbes has a zeal for children and a love for science.
