Coach Greg Evans » Bio

Hey!  My name is Greg Evans. I am from Luverne and have always lived here.  I am starting my 19th year in public education.  From 2000-2006 I taught at Greenville High School and served as an assistant football and baseball coach.  I was also head softball coach for three years .  Then in the fall of 2006 I accepted a job at Brantley High School.  That is where I have been teaching since 2006.  During my years at Brantley, I was fortunate enough to be a part of a successful athletic program.  We were able to win two football state championships in 2009 and 2012.  We also won a baseball state championship in 2009 and finished as the runner up in 2015.  When the call came to move back home, I could not resist.  I believe it is where God has planted me for sure.  I am so excited to be here!  I will be teaching 11-12 grade math and I will also serve as the head baseball coach.  I have been very happily married to Amanda (LHS class of 2001) for 13 years.  We are extremely blessed with two wonderful children, Kaylee (third grade) and Landree (kindergarten).  I enjoy coaching, watching sports (especially Alabama football...ROLL TIDE), reading, hunting, the beach, and spending time with my family.
Go Tigers!
